Poway Music Fest
Chris Hillman & Herb Pedersen
with special guest
The Eve Selis Band
Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 8pm
As a founding member of the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers, Chris Hillman helped develop the southern California country-rock genre. He cut a wide swath across the country, bluegrass and rock 'n' roll landscapes as part of Stephen Stills' band, Manassas, and with his own Desert Rose Band. Now Hillman joins longtime musical partner Herb Pedersen (the two met as teenagers gigging at L.A.'s famous Troubadour ) for a concert that will span more than 40 years of country-rock music.
Opening the show will be five-time San Diego Music Award-winner The Eve Selis Band. Eve is an audience favorite known for melding country, rhythm and blues, folk and rock 'n' roll into her own unique brand of "Roadhouse Rock."
